The opportunity
Delaware North Gaming is searching for a Catering Sales Manager to join our team at Mardi Gras Casino in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. Our ideal candidate is goal-oriented, has extensive catering sales experience and knowledge, and can develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans while maximizing revenues.
Pay Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $46,100 – $62,200 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. What will you do?
Prospect and solicit new wedding and social accounts, meet with new and existing clients, provide tours of facilities, review event details, write contracts
Greet guests at functions prior to hand-off to operations/banquets, up-sell to guests, handle client/customer concerns, follow-up with guests after events. Handle guest relations and monitor adherence to quality assurance standards
Identify opportunities for regional business at other Delaware North locations
Work with property operations to detail groups and menus; prepare and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and additional event support documentation (i.e., changelog, group resume, etc.) in a timely manner to clients for contractual execution
Participate in industry-related events such as bridal fairs, and other local and regional events. In addition, support all internal departments based on events and needs
Develop quarterly action plans highlighting how you leverage your markets in order for the property to achieve the financial plan
More about you
2-3 years of experience working in a hotel/hospitality company
Food and beverage experience
Ability to identify key market segments and appropriate mediums for selling opportunities
Experience in sales and marketing training
Familiar with sales-related technology application
Strong commitment to customer and client service
Demonstrate initiative, leadership, and team-building skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Catering or event sales experience is preferred
