
Superintendent of Construction
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee all on‑site activities for heavy civil and marine construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily field operations from mobilization through project closeout
Supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure coordinated workflow
Maintain project schedules and budgets; implement corrective actions when needed
Enforce OSHA standards and company safety policies; conduct safety meetings and site inspections
Monitor workmanship and compliance with plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements
Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and site documentation
Identify and resolve field issues that may impact timelines or costs
Collaborate with Project Managers, engineers, and clients to support smooth project execution
Manage equipment, deliveries, and material staging on‑site
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
5+ years of experience in heavy civil or marine construction supervision
Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and building codes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore) and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project)
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with DOT, bridge, and marine infrastructure projects
OSHA 30‑hour certification
Ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors
Background in construction inspection, safety, and subcontractor management
Experience with heavy civil work including DOT, railroads, bridges, deep foundations, and sitework
Experience managing projects exceeding $15 million
Familiarity with Procore and Bluebeam
Work Environment This role requires on‑site presence five days a week, with occasional visits to client offices or additional project locations. The company operates a large fabrication facility and owns its equipment, allowing for efficient production of high‑grade components for specialized projects.

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $130,000.00 - $160,000.00/yr. Full healthcare benefits are provided.
