
The Marketing Assistant supports the firm’s marketing and business development efforts by assisting with daily operations, campaign execution, content creation, event coordination, and marketing analytics. This role works closely with the Sr. Director of Business Development & Marketing, Business Development Directors, attorneys, and external vendors. It is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing administrative support with creative and strategic marketing tasks.
Key Responsibilities Marketing Operations & Administrative Support
Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the marketing department’s activities
Support the Sr. Director of Business Development & Marketing in organizing and executing various marketing projects and initiatives
Maintain marketing calendars, timelines, spreadsheets, databases, and inventories with statistical, financial, and non-financial information
Prepare and assist with presentations for internal and external use
Content & Digital Marketing
Draft, edit, and publish content for the firm’s website, social media platforms, and email marketing campaigns
Assist with writing marketing materials, including brochures, press releases, advertisements, blogs, and other collateral to support the firm’s visibility
Coordinate attorney bios, business cards, nametags, and scheduling of attorney headshots
Ensure all content aligns with firm branding and professional advertising standards
Events, Promotions & Business Development Support
Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing promotional events, seminars, trainings, and digital campaigns
Support Business Development Directors with training logistics, including registration management, technical setup, hosting, and recordings
Attend events as needed to help facilitate smooth execution and success
Assist with event promotion, communications, invitations, reminders, and post-event materials
CRM, Analytics & Market Research
Conduct basic market research to support marketing and business development initiatives
Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather and organize data related to social media, website performance, rankings, inbound leads, and campaign results
Assist with CRM management, including data entry, updates, and reporting
Help track and report on marketing activity and performance metrics
Vendor & Brand Coordination
Communicate and coordinate with vendors, maintaining professional working relationships
Oversee inventory, reordering, and distribution of promotional materials
Maintain the firm’s promotional product catalog and assist with ordering branded items
Qualifications
High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is a strong advantage
1–3 years of marketing, communications, or administrative experience, preferably in a professional services environment
General knowledge of office management and marketing principles
Strong understanding of marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social media, digital, and email marketing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a professional, client-focused approach
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with marketing software and online applications, including editing & design tools, CRM functions, and email platforms
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Experience with HubSpot, Mailchimp, WordPress, or similar platforms
Experience with Canva or basic graphic design tools
Event coordination or professional training support experience
Familiarity with legal or professional services marketing
