Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our Legal and Compliance team supporting our regulatory and compliance function across all locations and brands. The Regulatory Specialist will be responsible for state level compliance including but not limited to maintenance of state alcohol licensing, state brands registrations and state reporting, as well as supporting additional administrative and organizational task as needed.
The Regulatory Specialist will report to the Director of Compliance for the Beverage Division.
This role is open to our locations in Atlanta/Portland/Bend/NYC/Littleton.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Alongside the Director of Compliance, maintain out-of-state shipper licenses across the alcoholic beverage division, including renewals and record-keeping.
Manage state brand registration submissions and communication with state regulatory agencies. This includes the submission of new registrations, updating existing registrations, and tracking and maintaining renewals across all brands.
Maintain and update internal tracking of state brand registrations that serves as single point of information across functions.
Manage state reporting for out-of-state shipper’s licenses, submit monthly reports in all states and monitor and respond to requests for information and/or invoices from regulatory agencies.
Communicate with Sales and Business Development teams to provide updates on state level compliance as needed.
Support Director of Compliance with other compliance and legal matters.
Perform regulatory research and assist in ensuring state compliance requirements are updated when necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree from an accredited institution
2+ years’ experience in alcoholic beverage industry
Knowledge of the three-tier system and state alcohol beverage compliance
Familiarity with navigating regulatory portals
Experience interfacing with government regulators
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) solutions
Ability to generate, manipulate, and decipher reporting data as it relates to CPG sales
Experience with ShipCompliant or a similar software a strong plus
Experience with OBeer or similar software a strong plus
