
A San Diego–based firm is seeking a detail‑oriented and creative
Proposal Coordinator
to support proposal development and pursuit efforts across the planning, engineering, survey, and mapping disciplines. This role is heavily focused on coordinating and preparing high‑quality Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), proposals, interview materials, and related marketing content for public‑sector clients.
The Proposal Coordinator will monitor agency and industry websites to identify new opportunities, maintain an organized database of previous projects and staff resumes, and ensure the timely production of compelling, compliant proposal packages. A major component of this role includes leading interview preparation and rehearsal sessions with senior staff to ensure strong, consistent messaging.
Additionally, the role involves conducting market research to identify trends and strategic opportunities for business expansion. The candidate will maintain a database of sub‑consultants, provide weekly marketing reports to Principals, and cultivate strong working relationships with agency personnel, clients, and consultants. Responsibilities also include maintaining professional agency registrations (APWA, ASCE, etc.), updating company website and social media content, and writing or designing press releases, newsletters, announcements, and advertisements.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in proposal deadlines, has excellent writing skills, and enjoys collaborating with technical and leadership teams to produce standout submissions.
Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
3–5+ years of experience in an office environment; A/E/C industry experience is a plus
Public Works industry experience preferred
Excellent writing and editing skills for government RFPs, SOQs, and proposals
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, strong work ethic, flexible, positive attitude, and a team‑oriented mindset
Nice to Have
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
Pay $28hr - $35hr + OT pay
