Compensation:

$60,000 base salary + variable compensation; on-target earnings approximately $110,000 annually, plus equity and benefits

building AI-powered technology that helps sales teams operate more effectively. Backed by leading institutional investors, the company is approaching eight figures in annual recurring revenue and has demonstrated strong year-over-year growth.

The team is highly collaborative and office-centric, with employees working closely together in New York City. The environment emphasizes ownership, experimentation, and learning by doing, with significant exposure to senior leadership.

The Opportunity Our partner is scaling their Business Development team and is seeking motivated, creative Business Development Representatives to help drive demand generation and pipeline growth. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in fast-paced startup environments and are excited by the opportunity to shape how outbound and inbound sales development is done.

Unlike highly rigid sales development roles, this team encourages experimentation across outreach channels and supports creative approaches to engaging prospective customers. High performers have clear paths to advancement, including opportunities to move into closing or growth-focused roles within approximately 12 months.

Responsibilities

Generate new business opportunities through a mix of outbound and inbound prospecting

Experiment with and execute outreach strategies across phone, email, and other channels

Collaborate closely with sales, growth, and leadership teams to refine messaging and targeting

Track and manage outreach activity using internal tools and systems

Represent the company professionally at conferences and customer meetings (travel 1-2 times per quarter)

Contribute ideas to improve sales development processes and demand generation efforts

Requirements

Strong work ethic with a proactive, collaborative approach

Clear interest in working at a high-growth technology startup, with thoughtful reasons for pursuing this environment

Comfort working in an in-person, team-oriented office setting five days per week

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with prospects and teammates

For early-career candidates: demonstrated self-starter, leadership, or entrepreneurial experience (academic background may vary)

For career pivoters: a well-considered rationale for transitioning into technology sales

Authorization to work in the United States (visa sponsorship is not available)

Preferred but not required:

Prior sales, startup, or customer-facing experience

Backgrounds demonstrating discipline and persistence (e.g., athletics, entrepreneurship)
