About the Role
The Sales Manager is responsible for managing key accounts, developing new customer relationships, and supporting the Director of Sales in achieving revenue and customer satisfaction goals. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, delivering tailored solutions, driving sales growth, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience across all interactions. Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow relationships with assigned customers while developing new accounts. Secure purchase orders and meet or exceed sales targets. Understand customer needs and propose appropriate product and solution offerings. Collaborate cross functionally (design, quoting, logistics, service) to ensure total customer satisfaction. Develop strong product knowledge to address customer questions confidently. Maintain accurate documentation throughout sales and warranty processes. Participate in internal meetings regarding goals, forecasts, and order updates. Capture and address customer feedback, suggestions, and complaints. Maintain CRM entries, reports, and sales presentations. Assist with onboarding and training new hires as the team grows. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field. 5+ years of professional sales experience (utility scale solar preferred). 2+ years of outside B2B sales experience with a strong record of converting prospects into customers. Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills. Strong negotiation and deal closing abilities. Passion for customer relationship building and long‑term account growth. Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners. High integrity, dependability, and a strong sense of urgency. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Office‑based role in a professional environment. Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and attend meetings as needed.
