
Overview
Clinical Director (ABA) position located in Livonia, Michigan. Directly manages all operational and clinical activity related to the assigned facility or territory. Flexible work arrangement: four days onsite and one remote day per week.
Responsibilities
- Directly manages all operational and clinical activity related to the assigned facility or territory.
- Supervise, develop, and train all clinical staff, including the Assistant Clinical Director, supervising BCBA(s), BCaBA(s), Behavior Consultants, and Behavior Technicians, in day-to-day operational activities and monitor performance.
- Supervise all case management of clinical cases within the designated facility or territory, including client supervision, staff support, and parent trainings.
- Assist clients and staff through challenging situations (e.g., parent concerns, client concerns, interpersonal concerns) in collaboration with other administrative teams as appropriate.
- Maintain clinical requirements for client supervision and manage caseload/assigned billable hours per insurance company guidelines and Gateway policies and procedures.
- Assist, coordinate, and direct ongoing staff training as necessary.
- Conduct initial and ongoing client assessments and design and maintain high-quality treatment programs aligned with Gateway policies/procedures and organizational mission.
- Coordinate with Administrative staff to ensure Gateway's best business practices are met at all times.
- Coordinate initial assessments by the Assistant Clinical Director, Supervising BCBA(s), BCBA(s), BCaBA(s), and Behavior Consultants as appropriate.
- Coordinate clinical coverage for each facility/territory and update as needed for clinician call outs, PTO, etc.
- Coordinate with other teams to maintain a safe and productive workplace throughout the week.
- Engage in ongoing collaboration with Regional Clinical Director to meet the needs of the facility/territory.
- Monitor client progress within the territory, including review of treatment plans, monthly utilization, and supervision/parent training as applicable.
- Maintain client privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations and Gateway policies and procedures.
- Prepare and administer staff performance evaluations in collaboration with Human Resources and the Regional Clinical Director.
- Plan independent caseload assignments for the facility/territory to ensure appropriate caseloads for the clinical leadership team, collaborating with the Regional Clinical Director as needed.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to support the clinical team and changing needs of the facility/territory.
Qualifications
- Active BCBA certification and LBA licensure.
- Open and flexible availability.
- At least 3 years of experience within the ABA field or with children with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Proven leadership, organization, and management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with staff and clients.
- Problem-solving skills for resolving administrative issues and conflicts.
- Ability to delegate and supervise tasks as required.
- Understanding of budgeting and resources planning, along with evaluation procedures and methods.
