We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead and manage our offshore operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operational management, with a proven track record in the offshore industry. The Operations Director will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, optimizing processes, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective offshore operations.
Oversee the day-to-day management of offshore activities, ensuring they meet both productivity and quality standards.
Coordinate with other department heads to ensure that operational activities are aligned with the overall strategy and objectives of the company.
Manage budgets and forecasts, and oversee procurement and supply chain management to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and safety requirements in all offshore operations.
Lead and manage a diverse team, providing coaching and professional development opportunities.
Facilitate communication between onshore and offshore teams to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of issues.
Analyze operational data and reports to identify trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
Liaise with external stakeholders, including clients, Charterers, end-users, regulatory bodies, partners, and suppliers.
Ensure that all offshore equipment and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards and are fit for purpose.
Be prepared to respond to emergencies and unexpected issues, implementing contingency plans as needed.
Qualifications
Experience in a Operations Management position with an offshore management company
Seagoing experience as Captain with DP-2 and DP-3 vessels
Extensive experience in operational management, preferably in an offshore environment/wind farm/Oil and Gas
Strong understanding of offshore industry standards and regulations.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively.
Proficient in the use of operational software and technology.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including occasional visits to offshore sites.
