Powder Coat Painter

This role involves powder coating metal frames and parts throughout the shift. Employees are tasked with setting up and cleaning spray guns at the end of each shift, primarily working with steel. Personal protective equipment is required, and the candidate must be comfortable working in a full painting suit with a respirator. Responsibilities: Paint various steel products daily. Utilize a powder coating gun. Clean and maintain work area and equipment. Wash, dry, and prepare steel parts for paint. Debur and grind steel parts using hand tools. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources. Follow control document procedures. Ensure regular in-person attendance. Essential Skills: At least 2 years' experience as an industrial powder coater. Experience in washing steel parts. Proficiency in grinding and deburring. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Roll, galvanized, stainless steel, Trumpf. High School Diploma or Technical School preferred but not required. Why Work Here? Work Environment: The work environment is a medium-sized facility with 60 employees, where everything from fabrication, welding, wiring, to assembly is done. The facility is clean, modernly designed, and maintains comfortable working temperatures. Job Type & Location: This is a contract to hire position based out of Franklin Park, IL. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
