Business Development Representative

Position: Business Development Representative Hours/Week: Full-time, 40+ hours Compensation: Strong base salary commensurate with experience plus commission Bonus opportunities Medical, dental and vision coverage offered Simple IRA with company match PTO, sick days and paid holidays Cell phone number and computer provided by company Reports To: Director of Business Development Territory: Sarasota and Charlotte Counties Summary: To increase awareness of the Paul Davis brand To build and promote strategic partnerships with commercial clients, property managers and carrier partnerships Responsibilities: Build strong relationships with current and potential clients through B2B, organized events and affirming relationships Organize and schedule a calendar of consistent Business-To-Business visits Using of the Paul Davis brand correctly in accordance with Brand Standards Utilize marketing technology software to upload contacts to the CRM, send email campaigns, customize and print marketing collateral, track sales calls, leads, referrals, and notes Attend business networking functions to promote the business Coordinate and manage community and charitable events Schedule, manage, and present Continuing Education courses Research local trade shows and coordinate Paul Davis booth set-up Attend training courses and annual conference seminars as requested Skills and Knowledge: Strong verbal and written communications Strategic thinking and planning Strong organizational skills Exemplary computer skills, i.e. Internet & Microsoft Office Knowledge of commercial and residential insurance industry, is helpful but not required Franchise, restoration, construction/home improvement, and/or insurance industry experience ideal Personal Characteristics: Self-directed with exceptional initiative Professional demeanor; personable, presentable, articulate Open, cooperative, enthusiastic, team player Qualifications: Ability to close deals, manage objections, and negotiate terms effectively Excellent verbal and written skills for engaging with potential clients, including C-level executives Two or more years' sales and marketing experience Previous experience in sales, customer service and lead generation are highly valued Paul Davis is an equal opportunity employer.
