Concordance’s reentry program is designed to dramatically reduce recidivism by helping individuals with justice involvement lead meaningful, abundant, and joyful lives. Our holistic, evidence-based model offers a wide range of services – therapy, case management, yoga, behavioral health and substance use recovery groups, spiritual care, life skills, medical care, education, and job readiness. Each participant is formally supported by our Care Team for a full year, ensuring stability and long-term success. Now operating in Missouri, South Carolina, and Virginia, Concordance is a national leader in compassionate, innovative reentry care.

Position overview

The Program Director provides programmatic, clinical, and quality oversight for all participant-facing services within the Center. This role ensures that Concordance programming is delivered with fidelity to the Concordance Reentry Model, adheres to CARF and HIPAA standards, and creates a consistent, healing, participant-centered experience. The Program Director directly manages Care Team Members and is responsible for team supervision, quality assurance, clinical oversight, documentation standards, and program effectiveness. This role partners closely with senior leadership to implement new programming, monitor outcomes, and drive continuous quality improvement.

The Program Director reports directly to the AVP, Regional Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities - your role will involve:

Program and Clinical Leadership

  • Provide programmatic oversight for all center-based services and participant supports.
  • Ensure programming aligns with the Concordance Model, clinical best practices, and trauma-informed principles.
  • Support staff in managing complex participant needs, including escalation and case staffing.
  • Maintain compliance with CARF, HIPAA, state regulations, and internal protocols.
  • Lead implementation of new programming or interventions in collaboration with senior leadership.

Supervision and Staff Development

  • Directly supervise Care Team Members, providing coaching, support, and accountability.
  • Hold weekly team meetings to coordinate care, align practices, and share updates.
  • Conduct monthly 1:1 supervision sessions with direct reports.
  • Deliver clinical supervision as appropriate based on licensure.
  • Identify training needs and support professional development.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, empathy, high performance, and trauma-informed care.

Quality Assurance and Outcome Management

  • Audit participant records and sessions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and fidelity.
  • Oversee documentation standards, ensuring timely and compliant entries.
  • Monitor caseloads, service delivery patterns, and team productivity.
  • Track and report key program metrics, participant outcomes, and progress trends.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement strategies based on data insights.

Participant Experience

  • Ensure a consistent, healing, dignified experience for participants across all services.
  • Support creative, policy-aligned problem solving to reduce barriers to engagement.
  • Address participant escalations and collaborate with staff to resolve issues.
  • Advocate for participant needs across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Oversee participant outcomes, including primary indicators of program completion and employment.

Leadership Collaboration and Mission Advancement

  • Partner with Concordance’s senior leadership to implement strategies, enhance programming, and improve team member experience.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to strengthen the organization’s overall effectiveness.
  • Represent the Center in program-related meetings, trainings, and initiatives.

Education and Licensure

  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, behavioral health, or related field
  • LCSW, LPC, or related license

Skills and Competencies

  • 5-7 years of experience in social work, behavioral health, case management, counseling, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience of people leadership.
  • Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams preferred.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, behavioral health, and evidence-based practices.
  • Experience working with justice-involved adults or other vulnerable populations is strongly preferred.
