
Automotive Parts Consultant
As an Automotive Parts Consultant, you will deliver exceptional service to both retail and installer customers while assisting store management with various tasks. We encourage bilingual candidates to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and advocate for all customer service programs, including Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, and Related Selling.
Warmly greet retail customers, assisting them with merchandise selection in a friendly manner.
Support managers and installer service specialists in catering to professional customers as needed.
Complete necessary company training pertinent to your position.
Provide outstanding service to customers over the phone by efficiently answering calls, accurately looking up parts, quoting prices, and suggesting related items while offering our Low Price Guarantee.
Maintain a secure and accurate cash drawer, process transactions including cash, checks, and credit card payments effectively.
Handle exchanges and returns proficiently, in alignment with company policies.
Resolve customer complaints promptly and courteously.
Assist in daily operations such as freight receipt, shelf stocking, planogram updates, and store cleaning.
Prepare new, core, and warranty merchandise returns for shipment; assist with inventory counts and stock adjustments.
After completing training, operate store test equipment including the brake lathe.
Offer in-store services to customers, compliant with local and state laws (e.g., wiper installations, battery tests, etc.).
Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to fulfill delivery needs as required.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Skills and Experience Required
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences is essential.
Proven track record of delivering outstanding and professional customer service.
Must be adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment, managing both phone and in-person customer interactions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, and basic automotive sales/service.
ASE certification is a plus.
Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish, is highly desirable.
