Primary Objective:

The Sr Designer, Global Packaging Design will support the strategic creative development and execution of all brand primary, secondary packaging, seasonal programs, collateral items, bags, and creative mailers. This role drives creative innovations and collaborates with the Director of Packaging Design to identify new packaging opportunities for the brand.

Responsibilities:

Create highly innovative concepts and product designs in line with overall brand strategy.

Manage the design and production of all product packaging. Includes concept presentations (concept decks, mood boards, drawings, renderings, and models), managing of all departmental DTO’s, packaging standards.

Design across various consumer touchpoints, including ability to design for specialty‑multi, open‑sell.

Work with comp houses on all presentation comps.

Oversee and manage packaging artwork and retouching.

Attending press runs and other production runs.

Work closely with all cross functional departments and attend regular status meetings with

Comfortable working as part of multi‑disciplinary teams, collaborating effectively with colleagues in marketing, packaging development, 360 creative, technical development and third‑party vendors.

Support with sourcing and utilize outside vendors, artists, and designers for new innovative package solutions.

Qualifications:

5+ years of related experience in the beauty industry

BA or BFA in Industrial Design, Packaging Design, Graphic Design or related field

Conceptual thinker, strong sensibility for shape and 3D visualization. Being able to ideate, develop, present and execute projects from start to finish in highest quality

Highly organized. Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, on budget and can adapt changing priorities and creative approach

Knowledge of industrial and manufacturing processes, finishes and materials

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), 3D CAD/ Modelling and rendering experience in Mac environment. Proficient in SolidWorks, Rhino and/or other 3D modeling program

Strong knowledge of competitive landscape and design/fashion trends
