The Concept Designer reports to the Design Director of Branding and supports the broader Branding team. This is a hybrid role based in NYC, requiring three days per week in-office. The Concept Designer is responsible for creating commercially viable branding and packaging at the concept level, while supporting projects through execution. We are seeking an innovative, detail-oriented designer with a strong passion for logos, typography, and brand storytelling within the fashion and beauty space. Your Impact
Research, track, and analyze current and emerging trends in fashion, beauty, and the creative marketplace as they relate to branding and packaging. Concept and design original brand assets, including product branding, trims and hardware, packaging, logos, and graphic elements that align with seasonal concepts, prints, and color palettes. Translate abstract ideas into clear, compelling visual concepts that are both creative and commercially viable. Develop polished presentations and brand guides with strong visual storytelling, clear point of view, and a sophisticated, feminine aesthetic. Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Product Development, Raw Materials, Marketing, and Production teams to ensure brand alignment and seamless execution from concept through final delivery. Manage and balance requests for new branding assets, ensuring cross-functional needs are met while maintaining brand consistency. Apply a deep understanding of the company’s brand codes, voice, and heritage, maintaining exceptional attention to detail across all deliverables. Act as a proactive idea generator and self-starter, contributing fresh perspectives and inspiring concepts to the team. Concept and design special branding initiatives, limited-edition projects, and high-visibility presentations. Support the Branding team with production-ready mechanicals, file preparation, and artwork uploads for vendors as needed Ensure all files meet technical and manufacturing specifications, maintaining accuracy and quality throughout the production process.
