Brief Description Supports the Bank’s commercial real estate lending operations by ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant loan closings. This role directly contributes to the Bank’s financial performance, risk management, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities Responsible for managing the end-to-end closing process for commercial real estate loans. This includes reviewing loan documentation, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and facilitating funding and post-closing activities.

Essential Functions

Review approved loan files to identify and satisfy pre-closing conditions; update loan origination system (LOS) accordingly.

Examine loan documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

Calculate financial figures and prepare closing documents.

Review tax searches and validate escrow holdback amounts prepared by legal counsel.

Assess hazard insurance certificates for compliance and escrow accuracy.

Ensure consistency of loan terms across all documentation.

Communicate with internal departments and external parties to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth closings.

Monitor and track closing timelines to ensure deadlines are met.

Coordinate with underwriters, loan officers, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to finalize documentation and facilitate closings.

Review settlement statements and disbursement schedules for accuracy.

Initiate loan funding via wire transfers and system entries.

Conduct post-closing reviews to confirm completeness of loan binders.

Provide support to team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Ancillary Functions

Ensures adherence to Bank policies and procedures and federal and state regulatory requirements.

Provides cross-functional support to other areas of the department and the Bank where service or assistance is needed.

Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending on individual circumstances.

Mandatory Training Curricula Training is required of all Bank staff as related to regulatory mandated compliance topics and courses required for specific job functions. Career enhancement training courses are also available. Please refer to course catalog and management for details.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial loan origination systems (e.g., nCino, LaserPro, Encompass)

Strong organizational and time management skills

High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation review

This job is mostly sedentary in nature. Employees in this job must be able to work in an office environment during regular business hours where they come into regular and frequent contact with internal and external customers. Therefore, employees in this position are expected to have consistently positive interactions with the public.

Requirements Education/Training

Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Experience

A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in commercial real estate loan closings, including knowledge of relevant regulations, procedures, and documentation

Salary Range

$76,000 - $85,000
