Under the general direction of the section Program and Project Supervisor (PPS), the incumbent will conduct complex economic, policy and/or technical analyses and research to support Administrative Law Judges (ALJ), Commissioners, and Advisors. Specifically, the incumbent will lead analytical projects designing and implementing new electric industry pricing strategies and rates to promote electrification, decarbonization, and customer equity.
As the Senior Energy Pricing Analyst (Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst V – Electric Rates) the incumbent will lead analytical, project‑management, and advisory responsibilities for shaping advanced rate designs through rulemaking and ratemaking proceedings. Responsibilities include the ongoing oversight and program implementation of new tariffs and programs for residential and non‑residential classes, leading the development of pricing strategies and data collection efforts that promote affordability, electrification, decarbonization, and grid efficiency and reliability, working closely with the assigned Administrative Law Judge and Commissioner’s office, and facilitating interagency communication and coordination.
