This associate will manage and contribute to complex patent and trade‑secret litigation matters heading toward trial. The role includes drafting key filings, taking and defending depositions, and supporting strategic case development across high‑stakes disputes.

Description

Provide legal advice and counsel on intellectual property matters.

Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to intellectual property.

Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.

Assist in the preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark applications.

Collaborate with clients to address their intellectual property concerns.

Represent clients in intellectual property disputes and litigation.

Stay updated on developments and trends in intellectual property law.

Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Profile A successful candidate should have:

A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Admission to the New York State Bar.

3-7 years of experience litigating patent and trade‑secret matters.

Strong track record managing significant components of complex IP cases.

Experience taking or defending depositions; mentoring junior associates is a plus.

Excellent writing skills, analytical strength, and strong academic credentials.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, trial‑driven environment.

Solid large‑firm or comparable litigation experience.
