Mechanical Designer – McAllen, TX
Halff has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Designer supporting our Mechanical Engineering department in San Antonio, Houston, Austin, and McAllen, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience with HVAC air and hydronic concepts and must be capable of performing routine calculations, equipment layout, and basic equipment design under the supervision of senior staff. What You Will Do
Basic design and layout of HVAC air and hydronic systems
Set‑up drawing sheets in REVIT, develop equipment schedules, and run basic calculations
Assist in estimating project construction costs and writing specifications
What You Will Need
Minimum 2 years of experience designing HVAC and hydronic systems
Experience with Trane Trace 3D
Experience with Revit
Associate’s degree in a related field is required; a Bachelor’s degree is a plus
Working knowledge of IMC and other related codes
