Job Description Prepare materials for mailing including: applying postage, preparing items for shipment or collection, distributing items as needed, ensuring items are properly labeled and documenting data according to management guidelines.
Scan all incoming mail and properly send to recipients.
Create shipping labels for domestic and international shipments
Ensure that all mail and packages are properly labeled for mailing, with correct postage utilizing automatic postage meter machines.
Sort, deliver and pick-up mail and packages according to established time frames and service standards on multiple floors pushing mail cart as needed.
Assist with loading and unloading of deliveries as needed, maintain shipping and receiving area as required.
Handle time-sensitive material like confidential, urgent packages
Receive and log all incoming items, letters and packages, including certified, registered, return receipt, Federal Express, UPS and all accountable mail.
Handle ferry run multiple times per day
Cross train and utilize equipment in all areas (copy, fax , messenger) and perform other duties as required
Must become fully familiar with a variety of onsite equipment and be capable and willing to perform first level troubleshooting.
Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude.
Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume, production environment.
Maintain mail carts and other important documents related to associate or employee moves
Adhere to all safety procedures
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following qualifications
Less than 1-year experience in a mailroom operation
Minimum of 1-year customer service related experience required
Ability to communicate both verbally and written with customers and company personnel
Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to lift, push, carry and pull up to 50lbs.
Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel and Word)
The pay range for this position starts at $17.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
