As an Electrical Superintendent for healthcare facilities, you will be responsible for overseeing daily electrical operations, coordinating field crews and subcontractors, and ensuring all electrical work is completed safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with NEC requirements, healthcare codes, and life‑safety standards.

Pay Range
$36 – $42 per hour
Qualifications – Electrical Superintendent (Healthcare)
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent on commercial electrical projects
Proven experience overseeing electrical work within healthcare, hospital, or medical facility projects preferred
Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, installation practices, sequencing, and scheduling
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, healthcare electrical codes, ICRA requirements, and life-safety systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, panel schedules, specifications, and contracts
Demonstrated ability to coordinate electrical subcontractors and collaborate effectively with other trades on site
Strong leadership, communication, and field problem-solving skills
Commitment to jobsite safety, OSHA compliance, and energized work safety procedures
Ability to work in active or occupied healthcare environments while minimizing disruption to critical operations
Proficient with electrical documentation, daily reporting, scheduling coordination, and construction management software
Healthcare electrical construction experience (hospitals, clinics, medical offices)
Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, means, and methods
Ability to manage daily electrical field operations and coordinate electricians and electrical subcontractors
Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, healthcare codes, ICRA requirements, and infection control procedures
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, one-lines, panel schedules, specifications, and project schedules
Strong electrical scheduling, manpower planning, and workflow coordination skills
Quality control and inspection oversight for electrical installations and life-safety systems
Safety management with strict adherence to OSHA standards and energized work protocols
Experience working in occupied or active healthcare environments with minimal disruption
Effective communication with project managers, inspectors, engineers, and hospital facility staff
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced electrical jobsite conditions
