Job Title Property Manager, Multifamily

Job Description Summary Property Managers are responsible for maintaining our communities to a market‑ready standard, always ensuring a high level of service. They also motivate high‑performing teams to maximize property performance.

Responsibilities

Ensure the smooth running of the community in a fast‑paced environment; oversee operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.

Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability. Complete lease/renewal paperwork to company standards.

Track and evaluate advertising and client traffic.

Develop, mentor, lead, and manage a high‑performing, cohesive team—including leasing, customer service, maintenance, and management personnel—to maximize engagement and minimize turnover.

Drive revenues through thorough analysis of competition and development of creative marketing programs.

Lead by example; instill, maintain, and model Cushman & Wakefield’s mission as the best national management company.

Supervise day‑to‑day operations of the entire on‑site team, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

Hire, train, and coach staff as necessary.

Maintain residents’ files in accordance with company standards.

Maintain a positive living environment through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow‑up.

Manage and maintain all aspects of the community budget and finances.

Work with leasing staff to ensure leasing/marketing goals are met.

Competencies

Effective communication and customer service skills.

Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite, internet navigation).

General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills with excellent oral and written communication.

Set leasing opportunities for staff and improve individual performance.

Supervise operations ensuring compliance with C&W policies and procedures.

Be able to manage a team.

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Important Education

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Real Estate License preferred.

Important Experience

3+ years of Property Management experience.

3+ years of Management experience.

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Regular travel is required.

Physical Demands Stand and walk for extended periods, ascend/descend staircases, ladders, or step stools, and travel between buildings in varying weather conditions. Sit or stand for approximately 85% of the time, operate office machinery, and lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally or frequently.

Benefits and Compensation Comprehensive benefit programs, including health, vision, and dental insurance; flexible and health savings accounts; retirement savings plans; life and disability insurance; and paid and unpaid time off. Competitive pay ranging from $72,250.00 to $85,000.00, based on location, experience, and market rates.
