The Cook - Senior Living is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious and appealing meals for residents in a senior living community. This role requires a skilled individual who can cook a variety of dishes, including those tailored to special diets, while maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and food safety. The ideal candidate is adept at following menus, baking, and ensuring food is stored correctly.
Schedule
Part-Time (10:30 AM - 6:30 PM)
Open availability on the weekends and holidays preferred.
Compensation
$19.61 - $23 / hour, depending on experience
Qualifications
Must have 1-2+ years of professional Cook experience
Prior culinary, food service, or restaurant experience
Knowledge of Special Diets a Plus
FOOD WORKERS CERT (preferred)
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to menus, dietary guidelines, and food safety standards, including special diets and restrictions
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen in compliance with food safety regulations
Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering and proper storage of supplies
Ensure meals are attractively presented and served at appropriate temperatures
Work independently and collaboratively with the dietary team while following all company policies
