Groves Learning Organization (GLO) invites visionary, empathetic, and expert educational leaders to apply for Secondary School Division Director.

Located in the charming suburb of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, Groves Academy is a renowned grades 1–12 independent school serving 260 students who learn differently. As a central pillar of the GLO nonprofit ecosystem, the Academy is more than a school; it is a beacon of literacy and a place where students with dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, and other learning challenges discover their brilliance through evidence-based, transformative experiences.

The Opportunity: Newly Created Leadership Roles In a strategic move to enhance our instructional impact and student experience, Groves Academy has established two distinct Division Director positions. These leaders will serve as the primary instructional and cultural anchors for their respective divisions, reporting directly to the Vice President of Learning/Head of School.

Secondary School Division Director (Grades 6–12) The Secondary School Director oversees the Middle and Upper Schools, navigating the complex developmental journey from early adolescence to young adulthood. This leader will unify two distinct age bands under a mission‑aligned framework, ensuring students are prepared for life beyond Groves with confidence and purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a strong presence across Middle and Upper School spaces, reinforcing an environment of belonging and high academic standards.

Partner with the leadership network (Admissions, Operations, and Student Well‑being) to ensure a consistent student experience.

Foster innovative teaching and student engagement strategies tailored to the needs of secondary learners.

Qualifications include:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education required; Master’s degree preferred.

Leadership Experience:

5–7 years of teaching experience in the relevant grade levels.

A track record of success supporting students with learning differences.

Supervising and supporting staff.

Leading grade‑level or program initiatives.

Advancing inclusive, evidence‑based practices for students with learning differences.

Expertise: Deep knowledge of differentiated instruction and evidence-based practices (e.g., Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, Spell‑Links).

Leadership Style: An inspirational, visible leader who can manage complexity with empathy and clarity.
