
The State Office of Volunteerism in Delaware VISTA team will grow capacity in to fight poverty in the state by being part team that will help selected nonprofits discover new funding and support opportunities tailored to each non-profit site. Non-profit sites include Food Bank of Delaware, SPUR Impact, Joe Johnson School, Boys and Girls Clubs Delaware, Combined Campaign for Justice, LYTE, DTER, and others. VISTA will identify organizations that fight poverty but need assistance with support. Help identified organizations build capacity by helping them find appropriate support and strengthening boards. VISTA will build volunteer teams to help with fundraising and public awareness campaigns. VISTA will assist with identifying, building and modifying training modules to support volunteers to help them build a resource for funding and support needs. VISTA will be member of report team to complete a meaningful examination of poverty in Delaware and how to bridge the gap. Will participate in State Service Plan for State Office of Volunteerism.
