Company Profile Our client, a trusted GMP manufacturer with a 50-year legacy, is increasing its focus on the emerging and mid-market biotech and cell & gene therapy (CGT) markets. They provide high-quality, custom formulation solutions from pre‑clinical through process development and full‑scale production. With a 99% retention rate, they are actively expanding their Client Partner team (Sales Executive) focused on net new business acquisition and strategic account expansion within the East Coast region.
Job Description This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing, stable organization as they make a strategic push into the emerging and mid‑market Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) sector. The Sales Executive will own the Northeast territory (MA, PA, NJ focus) and build a rich density area through net new business acquisition.
Territory Development:
Create and implement a comprehensive geographic strategy aimed at cultivating new client relationships and deepening existing ones to increase market presence in biopharma, and cell & gene therapy markets.
Sales Execution:
Manage the entire sales pipeline, from initial lead identification to deal closure, ensuring the achievement of financial goals and diligently updating customer, opportunity, and projection data within the CRM system.
Collaboration:
Ensure exceptional client outcomes and quick product delivery by collaborating extensively with internal teams (Marketing, Technical, Operations).
Requirements
5‑7+ years of sales experience specifically focused within the biopharma or cell/gene therapy markets, with a proven track record of building net new territories and leveraging a strong existing network of decision‑makers.
Must be comfortable spending the majority of time focused on business development strategy, account penetration to build a greenfield territory into an established territory.
Bachelor’s degree in Science or Business & ability to pass a background and driving record check required.
Location This is a remote work environment, but candidates must be based in the Northeast, with a strong preference for candidates based in MA, PA, NJ. Must be willing to travel up to 50%, expecting 3 days a week in the field across the Northeast Region (near major biotech clients).
