Job Overview Wenger Contracting Inc., one of the premier residential design-build firms in our area, is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Carpenter to join our team.
In this role, you’ll:
Lead high-end residential remodeling projects from start to finish
Coordinate day-to-day operations, field crews, and subcontractors
Ensure the highest level of craftsmanship and a great client experience

Key Responsibilities
Lead residential remodeling projects from start to completion
Coordinate daily and weekly tasks for field crews and subcontractors
Perform high-quality carpentry, framing, trim, and finish work
Execute tile work, drywall repairs, minor roofing, and small mechanical tasks (ductwork, exhaust vents, etc.)
Ensure all work complies with design specifications, building codes, and safety standards
Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and project managers
Track materials, tools, tasks, and schedules using digital tools and apps
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
Proactively troubleshoot and solve problems throughout each project
Qualifications
10–12 years of hands-on residential carpentry/remodeling experience
Proven ability to manage projects independently and lead small teams
Broad skill set including carpentry, tile, drywall, minor roofing, and light mechanical work
Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
Comfortable using construction technology (tablets, project management apps)
Comfortable with heights and working on ladders, pump jacks, scaffolding, and roofs
Punctual, dependable, and professional
High school diploma or GED preferred
Valid driver’s license required
