THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON BID AWARD
The Jr. Science & Technology Protection Specialist will provide functional and specialized support, strategic direction, and oversight of the operations and business functions in support of the AFRL SSO division.
Responsibilities
Assist with S&T Protection Plan efforts to include identifying and validating security requirements,
Provide guidance to ensure the protection of technologies and related information of various classification levels.
Develop or evaluate programs, project, or technology area security risk assessments and analyses,
Provide mitigation plans.
Provide security oversight for all aspects of technology control and S&T protection planning
Develop certification and accreditation documents.
Provide support as a technical security advisor to internal and external entities on matters affecting overall protection architecture.
Present a clean, neat, and professional appearance within the USG-assigned facilities and in virtual meetings.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts (BA)/Bachelor of Science (BS) degree
Minimum four (4) years’ experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed. OR
Minimum eight (8) years of directly related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
Knowledge and ability to perform tasks related to the technical/professional discipline they are performing
Ability to work independently or with senior employees to ensure compliance with proper procedures
Knowledge and understanding, communication, coordination, prioritization, file maintenance, database management, and report and presentation development for diverse audiences.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy
Ability to maintain good working USG relationships.
Ability to communicate and interact professionally at all times to preserve USG relationships. Decorum is required and no profanity or workplace bullying will be tolerated.
Experience with Microsoft (MS) Office Applications (Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Skype, Teams, and Word), Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, Zoom, and applications for access to the World Wide Web (WWW) including MS Internet Explorer, Edge, Google Chrome, and Firefox.
Experience with G-suite and other common, cloud-based
