About the Role Mollie Stone’s Market is seeking a part‑time Apprentice Cashier at our Grand Central location. The perfect candidate will be customer service‑driven and flexible with working various tasks from day to day.
Essential Functions
Processing sales at the register
Scanning items accurately and efficiently; ability to properly identify produce items
Handling money
Bagging groceries for customers and providing carry‑out service if needed
Retrieving baskets and carts for the store
Cleaning up and performing general housekeeping duties
Giving exceptional customer service and assisting customers with any questions they may have
Maintaining knowledge of weekly ad items; guiding customers to product locations throughout the store
Restocking inventory, conducting price checks, and returning products to proper shelf locations
Minimum Qualifications
Must be 18 years or older
Detail oriented
Ability to give exceptional customer service
Ability to learn new technology
Willingness to train/work in other areas of the store as needed
Availability to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
Local candidates only
Physical Requirements
Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs
Standing: Up to 8 hours per day
Walking: Up to 6 hours per day
Reaching: Up to 4 hours per day
May be required to wear COVID‑19 related PPE as mandated by company policy
