THE ROLE: The Interior Designer is responsible for working with prospective buyers and homeowners to support in the sales process to demonstrate the options available and the final look of their selections. After the sale is completed, the Interior Designer will work directly with the Experience team and the buyer/homeowner to work on the final design of the project. Maintains the design studio for organization and efficiencies including the scheduling and cleanliness.
Day In The Life
Meet with prospective buyers or homeowners to review TJH design principles, how space is utilized, answering questions, and supporting the sales team in overcoming obstacles to a contract.
Work closely with the prospective buyer or homeowner to review the personalization options and upgrades.
Assist the buyer or homeowner in the final selection process and create the final design using the virtual reality design app.
Works closely with sales and purchasing to create the buyer or homeowner pricing and option approval.
Updates design package for buyer or homeowner for presentation and review
Ensures the design studio is organized and ready for meetings, including managing samples and scheduling.
Maintains the design package library to keep current and priced accurately accounting for new vendors or pricing changes.
Participates in site visits to include frame walks, vendor installations, post installations, and as needed to find opportunities to increase quality, reduce cost and cycle time.
Works closely with vendors to ensure a seamless process and to learn product knowledge and quality standards.
Support the Construction Superintendents to respond to requests for information (RFI) both in real time or to research answers and respond in a reasonable and agreed upon timeframe.
Participates in the oversight of the color board (exterior) materials to ensure a visually appealing curb value and adjust to provide the right first impression and stays focused on continuing to show at best throughout the process.
Conducts competitive visits and research to keep current with trends in the industry and develops recaps and ideas to the design team to review and determine if needs to be addressed.

What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field
1-2 years’ experience in interior design, preferably within residential or construction industry
Valid Driver's License
What Will Set You a Part
Able to effectively use Auto CAD system in conjunction with the REVEAL system.
Understands and can read architectural plans and interpret to address design needs to meet the local customer needs.
Demonstrates an expertise in design principles and standards and use in the daily operations of the role
