Waldorf Astoria Park City is the only Forbes Four‑Star hotel offering slope‑side access to the largest ski resort area in the United States. With dedicated gondola access to over 7,300 acres of terrain, 300+ trails, a 22‑ft half pipe and 16 on‑mountain dining options, skiers and snowboarders alike will find their alpine paradise. When the snow melts and flowers begin to bloom, find your summer escape through the new Canyons Golf, surrounding Waldorf Astoria, as well as access to some of the best mountain biking trails and parks in the country. The hotel has 150 rooms, 4,000 square feet of banquet space, and 3 food and beverage outlets.

Job Overview As a Leisure Sales Manager, you will be responsible for representing the hotel’s services and facilities to prospective clients, developing new accounts, and maintaining relationships with existing ones. You will travel outside the office to meet customers, conduct proposals, negotiate contracts, perform site inspections, and close deals.

Key Responsibilities

Sell luxury property, develop and solicit new accounts, positively impact leisure segments, and maintain current accounts.

Travel outside the office to meet customers, conduct proposals, negotiate contracts, conduct site inspections, and close deals.

Consistently meet with and entertain customers, conduct property tours, and participate in tradeshows and industry events to promote facilities and services.

Respond to sales inquiries, initiate new sales prospects, host and entertain clients, conduct property site visits and answer questions.

Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts and analyze lost business.

Develop sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room‑night goals.

Partner with operations departments to ensure full participation in servicing accounts.

Direct identification, sales efforts, and relationships with travel producers including retail agents, consortiums, wholesalers, entertainment and business travel accounts.

Assist in integrating individual property efforts into the overall resort strategy.

Gather and organize relevant competitive information.

Establish leisure and business travel marketing and action plans.

Establish wholesale, retail, and corporate travel target lists; attain annual room‑night and revenue goals.

Make qualified sales trips and solicit new clients.

Represent property at tradeshows, conferences, and meetings.

Monitor travelers with updates on programs, promotions, and events.

Review account production and patterns for segment negotiation.

Ensure travel industry policies and wholesalers are known and adhered to by staff.

Work with Sales and Marketing on new programs, packages and industry events.

Maintain liaison with competitors regionally and nationally.

Qualifications

Experience in leisure sales within a luxury hotel.

Seasoned sales experience in a hotel or resort environment.

College degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience working in a team environment with leadership responsibilities and minimal supervision.

Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independently.

Ability to establish and master goals.

Ability to identify and develop accounts.

Proficient computer skills, including accounting programs and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
