As the Sales Manager, you will drive group revenue by cultivating relationships within these niche markets. You’ll proactively source and secure group business, tailor proposals to client needs, and coordinate with hotel teams to ensure successful events. This role reports to the Director of Sales.
About the Role We’re looking for a driven, relationship-focused Sales Manager who loves the hunt just as much as the win. This is a great opportunity for a stable, proven hotel sales leader who brings energy, ownership, and tenacity to everything they do—and isn’t afraid to prospect, mine new opportunities, and pick up the phone to make cold calls that turn into long-term partnerships.
In this role, you’ll generate and manage group business from corporate clients through strategic business development, thoughtful relationship building, and customized proposals. You’ll work closely with internal teams to ensure flawless execution of group events while driving revenue and exceeding goals. This position reports directly to the Director of Sales.

What You’ll Be Doing
Prospecting, mining, and cold calling to uncover new business and grow your market presence
Building strong relationships with local and national corporate clients, third-party partners, and community organizations
Selling with confidence and credibility, with the ability to bring existing client relationships with you
Managing incoming RFPs, inquiries, proposals, and contracts from start to finish
Communicating client expectations clearly to internal teams to ensure seamless execution
Taking true ownership of your market, your accounts, and your results
Leveraging seasonality, compression, and local market dynamics to drive smart sales strategies
To be a successful candidate, you will need the following:
Essentials
Strong full-service hotel sales experience
Solid understanding of group, corporate, SMERF, and transient business mix
Seasonality and compression strategies
Local market dynamics
Proven business development and BT experience
Demonstrated ability to sell, prospect, and close—cold calls included
A reputation for stability, consistency, and follow-through as a sales leader
Tenacity—you don’t give up when things get tough
You will report directly to the Director of Sales, working closely with them to meet revenue goals and support the overall sales strategy.
Education & Experience
College degree or at least two years of hotel experience
Previous experience in a similar or related sales role
Full Service hotel sales experience is required
Additional consideration given for relevant certifications
This position may require a varied schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Please share your scheduling needs.
