Job Description The OEM & Aftermarket Sales Manager oversees the operations of the OEM & Aftermarket Department, including sales executives, branch salespersons, sales representatives, warehouse associates, and delivery drivers. The role meets sales and gross profit goals by providing leadership, excellent customer service, developing new customer relationships, and maintaining existing ones. The manager sells HVAC equipment and parts, provides solutions to local companies and private individuals, and possesses substantial product knowledge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Recruit, develop, and coach local sales and support staff.

Develop standard operating procedures for all parts locations, including orders, credit card transactions, and inventory management.

Coordinate and communicate regularly with the General Manager regarding inventory levels and overall annual budget.

Conduct sales management and enable selling efforts to attain market goals.

Establish relationships with vendors and secure competitive pricing, rebates, and bulk buying discounts.

Stay informed on new products, services, and customer interest; attend training.

Meet regularly with product‑line representatives and vendors for product education.

Hold direct responsibility for profit & loss of the OEM & Aftermarket team and/or region.

Communicate special orders to sales staff.

Submit activity and results reports such as weekly work plans and monthly/annual region analysis.

Monitor competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.

Recommend product, service, and policy changes based on results and market developments.

Resolve customer complaints, investigate problems, develop solutions, prepare reports, and recommend actions.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and professional societies.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Develop, mentor, and supervise all OEM & Aftermarket staff in specific regions.

Help establish organization structure, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff.

Monitor overall staff performance to ensure jobs are completed timely and professionally.

Drive world‑class customer service for all locations, creating a unified organization.

Experience and Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

At least 5 years of field sales experience in HVAC and parts knowledge required.

3–5 years of management experience preferred.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe, and FACTs experience a plus.

Physical Demands Employee must remain in a stationary position 40% of the time while operating a computer. Frequent vehicle travel is required. Employee must move around the office and customer locations, lift up to 20 pounds, and operate office machinery such as printers and copy machines. Ability to review work for errors and adjust as necessary is required.
