Saltegra Consulting is hiring an
in-house Sales Development Representative (SDR) / Business Development Representative (BDR)
to build a predictable flow of
qualified discovery meetings and partner introductions . This role owns outbound prospecting and initial qualification using
email and LinkedIn as primary channels , with
cold calling acceptable
when it improves conversion.
This is not a proposal-writing or closing role. The SDR/BDR’s job is to
create qualified sales conversations
for the Founder/Closer (and future sales roles), while maintaining excellent Customer Relationship Management (CRM) discipline in Salesforce.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain targeted prospect lists aligned to Saltegra’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) tiers and service lines.
Execute outbound sequences using email and LinkedIn; use cold calls when appropriate.
Drive consistent weekly outreach volume and follow-up (no “one-and-done” outreach).
Identify and engage multiple stakeholders within target accounts (champions, influencers, approvers).
Identify and target partner firms (engineering firms, consulting partners, and related service providers).
Initiate outreach and schedule partner introduction meetings.
Maintain systematic follow-up to convert introductions into referrals and joint pursuits.
Lead Qualification and Meeting Setting
Qualify leads for fit, urgency, stakeholder involvement, and timing.
Disqualify quickly when misaligned (protect leadership time).
Schedule discovery meetings for Founder/Closer and ensure meeting confirmations and attendance.
Provide a complete meeting handoff package (who/what/why/when/next step) in Salesforce.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Discipline (Non-Negotiable)
Log all touches, outcomes, and next steps in Salesforce.
Maintain required Salesforce fields and stage hygiene (accuracy is part of the job).
Support the weekly pipeline review process by ensuring clean data.
Continuous Improvement and Reporting
Provide weekly reporting on:
Outbound activity volume
Meetings booked vs meetings held (show rate)
Qualified meeting acceptance rate
Partner introductions booked/held
Pipeline contribution (as tracked by Sales leadership)
Qualifications
2+ years of Sales Development Representative (SDR) / Business Development Representative (BDR) experience with outbound prospecting in a Business-to-Business (B2B) environment (services or consultative selling preferred).
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal); comfortable communicating with technical and executive stakeholders.
Proven ability to follow a process, hit weekly activity targets, and maintain consistent follow-up discipline.
Strong CRM habits (Salesforce preferred); accurate logging and stage updates.
Comfortable using email + LinkedIn as primary channels; willing to cold call when needed.
Able to work a daily schedule with meaningful overlap with US business hours (Pacific Time).
