Payer Contract / Managed Care Analyst
to support our consulting engagements and client deliverables.
Role Overview The
Payer Contract Analyst
is an entry-level consulting role responsible for supporting payer contracting projects, analytics, data validation, contract management, and administrative workflows for our clients. This individual works closely with Associates, Senior Analysts, and Principals across multiple client accounts.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated early-career professional to gain exposure to national healthcare organizations, payer negotiations, reimbursement analytics, and C-suite leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Contracting & Administrative Support
Collect, review, and organize payer contracts, fee schedules, W-9s, rosters, credentialing data, and related documents
Maintain contract repositories and ensure accurate version control
Submit contract requests, NDAs, and supporting materials to payers
Track payer negotiation workflow and contract statuses in Smartsheet, Excel, and internal systems
Data & Analytics
Validate client data sets (claims files, CPT code volumes, RVUs, etc.) and prepare them for modeling
Assist in analyzing payer fee schedules, reimbursement trends, and rate variances
Support creation of payer proposal models and scenario analyses
Generate internal reports and contribute to client-facing deliverables
Client & Internal Team Support
Participate in client and payer calls as needed
Prepare agendas, summaries, and follow-up actions for meetings
Collaborate with Associates/Senior Analysts to support negotiation strategy development
Assist with preparing PowerPoint slides for client updates and presentations
Operational Support
Ensure all materials are properly stored in secure platforms
Maintain documentation standards across client engagements
Help streamline internal processes and improve workflow efficiency
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field
1–2 years of relevant experience (healthcare, payer/provider operations, analytics, or consulting preferred)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred)
Ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and client priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of professionalism and discretion handling sensitive information
Preferred
Prior internship or experience with a healthcare provider, payer, consulting firm, or RCM/analytics function
Exposure to CPT/HCPCS coding, payer fee schedules, or reimbursement concepts
Experience with Smartsheet, SharePoint, or project management tools
