Role Overview The Farm Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for promoting Summers Wellness Farm’s products, story, and seasonal offerings through digital and community-based marketing. This role focuses on increasing brand awareness, supporting sales efforts, and communicating availability, new products, and farm updates to customers. The ideal candidate understands both marketing fundamentals and the values of small-scale, local farming.

Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy & Planning

Develop and execute seasonal marketing plans aligned with harvest schedules

Promote farm products, availability, and pricing to customers and partners

Support product launches and expanded crop offerings based on customer demand

Content Creation & Social Media

Create and schedule content for social media (Facebook, Instagram, email, website)

Share farm updates, harvest highlights, behind‑the‑scenes content, and customer stories

Maintain a consistent brand voice that reflects the farm’s mission and values

Email & Customer Communication

Manage customer email communications (seasonal announcements, product availability, promotions)

Assist with customer newsletters and order reminders

Collaborate with inside sales to support outreach and follow‑ups

Sales & Promotional Support

Create simple marketing materials (flyers, product lists, price sheets, postcards)

Support inside sales efforts with updated messaging and visuals

Help promote new products and expanded varieties

Brand & Community Engagement

Maintain accurate branding across all marketing materials

Support local events, markets, and partnerships through promotion

Collect customer feedback and insights to inform future marketing efforts

Qualifications

Experience in marketing, communications, or social media management

Strong written communication skills

Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar tools preferred)

Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines

Familiarity with local food, agriculture, or small business marketing (preferred)

Preferred Skills

Photography or video content creation

Email marketing platform experience

Website content updates or basic CMS knowledge

Understanding of seasonal marketing cycles

Work Environment

Flexible schedule with increased activity during peak seasons

Mix of remote work and on‑site farm visits as needed

Collaborative role working closely with farm leadership and sales

Compensation

Hourly, salaried, or contract-based (based on experience)
