Job Summary
Primary responsibilities (events and clubs):
Plan, coordinate, and execute in‑store events
Build and manage recurring clubs/organizations tied to store categories and local communities
Own event logistics end‑to‑end: timelines, calendars, checklists, run of show, staffing coordination
Coordinate vendors and partners: outreach, scheduling, confirmations, day of coordination
Ensure event signage and promotional needs are planned and ready
Attend and help with select off‑site events such as hamfests, tradeshows, and local events
Track results and create post‑event recaps: attendance, signups, what worked, what to improve
Secondary responsibilities (graphic design):
Design promotional assets for events and store promotions for print and digital
Typical assets: flyers, posters, in‑store signage, social graphics, web banners, email graphics
Maintain organized files and reusable templates to keep production fast and consistent
Create simple animated assets (GIFs) as needed
Support light photography and basic video capture/editing for event promotion and recaps (as needed)
Required qualifications:
Event planning, coordination, or community programming experience (retail events, workshops, meetups, vendor events, etc.)
Graphic design experience with a portfolio (print and digital)
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator (InDesign is a plus)
Highly detail‑oriented, accurate with dates, times, pricing, product details, and exports
Strong written and verbal communication, comfortable coordinating partners/vendors
Organized and able to manage multiple moving parts and deadlines without close supervision
Comfortable being customer‑facing at events and representing GigaParts
Preferred qualifications:
Photography and video editing experience (Lightroom, Premiere Pro or similar)
Basic familiarity with HTML/CSS
Print production knowledge
Experience building recurring clubs/communities
Ideal candidate traits:
Friendly, professional, calm under pressure
Proactive communicator and strong follow‑through
Creative and resourceful, takes pride in clean, accurate work
Enjoys learning new things and helping customers
Interest in tech hobbies a plus (ham radio, maker/3D printing, PC building, photography, astronomy)
