Callander Associates Landscape Architecture, Inc. (CALA) is looking for a
Marketing Support Specialist
to join our growing team and support marketing, proposals, events, and studio leaders across all four offices. This role is hands‑on, collaborative, and perfect for someone ready to grow their marketing career in the A/E world.
What You’ll Do (aka where you shine) You’ll work closely with our Marketing Leadership Team, Studio Leads, and project teams to keep proposals, marketing efforts, and events moving forward, on time and on brand.
Your day-to-day may include: Supporting the Marketing team and Studio Leads with marketing and business development initiatives
Coordinating, designing and producing
RFP/RFQ response packages
from kickoff internal team meetings through final InDesign delivery
Managing
multiple proposals and deadlines at once
(organized chaos lovers welcome)
Writing and editing resumes, project descriptions, templates, and company messaging
Supporting conferences, events, sponsorships, and client engagement efforts
Assisting with marketing campaigns (email, social media, digital content)
Maintaining CRM data and tracking marketing and business development activity
Help "Mission & Messaging" Lead mine content for social media, website, conferences, and speaking opportunities
Collaborating across offices with Owners, Leadership, Project Managers, and Marketing team
What we're looking for:
You’re organized, creative, detail-oriented, and not afraid of deadlines. You enjoy working with people, juggling priorities, and seeing your work make an impact.
You’ll be a great fit if you have: 2+ years of marketing/proposal experience in the A/E industry
Strong writing, editing, and creative communication skills
Proficient/Expert in Adobe InDesign & Photoshop , Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite
Experience preparing
RFPs/RFQs
and managing multiple projects with shifting priorities
Proactive, positive, “let’s figure it out” mindset with a strong work ethic and desire to learn
Approachable, confident, and calm under pressure, with a sense of humor
Ability to build trust and strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
Collaborative, adaptable, and solution-oriented to support business goals.
Valid CA driver’s license with occasional travel (~40 hours/year).
Bonus Points (Not Required) Associates or Bachelor’s degree in marketing, design, communications, business, or related field.
Experience with CRM systems.
Familiarity with digital marketing, social media, or multimedia content.
