Renson North America is seeking a skilled Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, the Estimator reviews architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate, competitive cost estimates for Renson and Corradi outdoor products, including pergolas, screens, and shading solutions. The position ensures technical feasibility, supports profitability goals, and delivers a high standard of professional customer interaction. Working closely with Sales, Engineering, and Design, the Estimator prepares precise, compelling quotations that contribute to successful project outcomes within our dynamic, design‑focused organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Review and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, order forms, and project documents to develop accurate cost estimates for standard and custom outdoor products.

Prepare clear, detailed, and itemized quotations based on project requirements, configurations, and optional upgrades.

Ensure all estimates align with company pricing structures, policies, and profitability targets.

Collaborate heavily with Sales, Engineering, Design, and Customer Service teams to refine proposals, confirm feasibility, and support project success—this includes customer‑facing communication via Teams when required.

Create and interpret drawings, renderings, and project layouts using CAD, SketchUp, Revit, or other design tools as needed.

Evaluate project requirements with a working understanding of structural engineering principles.

Maintain strong knowledge of Renson and Corradi product lines, customization options, installation methods, BIM files, and pricing.

Provide professional, knowledgeable support to customers and architects, clearly communicating technical and pricing details.

Keep all estimates, revisions, and project information accurate and up‑to‑date in the ERP and company systems.

QUALIFICATIONS Education, Experience, Knowledge

Minimum 3 years of experience in estimating architectural products, construction, custom fabrication, or related industries.

Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP or estimating software.

Experience using CAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools to produce drawings or renderings.

Familiarity with BIM files and workflows.

Working understanding of basic structural engineering concepts.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain technical details to customers, architects, and internal teams.

Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple bids and deadlines.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

None required.

Industry‑related certifications (e.g., construction estimating) considered a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Sitting and computer use: Over 2/3 of the time.

Walking/Standing: Up to 1/3 of time.

Lifting: Occasionally up to 10 lbs.

Close vision required for reading technical documents and digital drawings.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Language Skills

Ability to read, interpret, and communicate technical specifications, proposals, and drawings.

Computer Skills

Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

ERP/estimating software.

Ability to interpret digital drawings and documents.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate areas, volumes, proportions, percentages, and other construction‑related computations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to interpret instructions shared verbally, in writing, or in technical drawing form.

Ability to resolve estimation challenges using practical judgment and technical analysis.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work performed primarily in an office environment.

Occasional exposure to manufacturing areas (moderate noise level).

May involve internal meetings with architects or project partners conducted on‑site.

No travel is required

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Compensation

Full‑time, exempt.

Salary range to be determined per approved compensation structure.
