The Vice President of Payer Sales, reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, is a strategic and results-driven leader and executer of our value-based care expansion strategy. This role will be responsible for driving growth through strategic partnerships with health plans.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of bringing risk-based health plan deals from start to finish. Deep health plan and healthcare expertise as well as multi-stakeholder management are required for this role.

What You’ll Do Essential Functions

Identify, develop, and close high-impact growth opportunities with health plans across Commercial, Medicare and other lines of business

Drive end-to-end deal development, including partnering with the executive team on financial modeling, due diligence, contract negotiation, and onboarding

Evaluate and structure pricing, shared savings, and risk arrangements with payers

Evaluate and evolve go-to-market strategies for the health plan market

Monitor market dynamics, policy changes, and competitor activities to inform strategy

Act as a thought leader both internally and externally around value-based care

Partner with Vori’s Finance, Clinical, Legal, Actuary and Operations teams to design deal structures that balance risk, compliance, and growth

Serve as the internal expert on VBC market trends and regulatory frameworks

Build and manage a robust pipeline of payer opportunities

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with executives at health plans

Who You Are Required

10+ years of experience in healthcare growth roles, with a strong focus on payer sales, value-based care, digital health, or MSK healthcare

Deep understanding of alternative payment models, including MSSP, MA risk, ACO REACH, capitation, and upside/downside risk

Experience negotiating complex, seven-to-eight-figure deals with health plans, including direct contracting, risk models, and shared savings programs

Proven track record of above-quota attainment in a senior payer sales role

Strong network and relationships across the payer ecosystem

E xceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Strategic thinker with analytical rigor and operational follow-through

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, SFDC and related software

Nice-to-Haves

MBA, MHA, MPH, or related advanced degree preferred

Compensation The base salary range for this role is

$200,000–$250,000 USD , with total on-target earnings (OTE) between

$300,000–$350,000 USD , inclusive of performance-based incentive compensation. This role features

uncapped earning potential

tied to achievement of strategic and revenue goals.
