The Team:

We are seeking a self-motivated, results-driven

Account Executive

to drive revenue growth by expanding existing business and developing new opportunities with automakers (OEMs) and national sales companies (NSCs). This role will work closely with the Associate Account Director and cross-functional teams to deliver strategic solutions from S&P Global Mobility (formerly IHS Markit), including market reporting, dealer network planning, and recall offerings.

Responsibilities and Impact

Develop and execute a strategic territory/customer plan to meet and exceed revenue targets.

Identify and close new business and upsell opportunities with new and existing customers.

Actively prospect, forecast, and manage relationships across multiple client personas: strategic planning, market representation, incentives, sales operations, marketing, parts & service, and procurement.

Maintain accurate and real-time sales activity in CRM (Salesforce preferred).

Represent and promote S&P Global Mobility solutions to all levels within OEMs and NSCs.

Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Product, Consulting, Marketing, Sales Ops) to ensure customer needs are reflected in business decisions.

Provide exceptional customer service and implement retention strategies focused on growth.

Lead client onboarding and manage ongoing deliverables and project timelines.

Attend industry conferences and conduct in-person meetings as needed (up to 20% travel).

Compensation/Benefits Information S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $100,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan. What We’re Looking For Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.

At least 5-7 years of sales or client-facing experience in automotive, data, or consulting industries.

Experience in product development, engineering, manufacturing, or procurement within the automotive value chain is a plus.

Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).

Passion for data, analytics, and emerging automotive trends (e.g., autonomy, electrification, connectivity).

Comfortable working independently in a virtual environment.

Skills & Attributes:

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Highly organized with strong project management capabilities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Driven, ambitious, and eager to grow professionally.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
