
Job Summary
Growing manufacturer in the Boise area is seeking a Dairy Chemical Sales Specialist for an Outside Sales position. The ideal candidate will have previous sales experience, preferably in the agriculture or similar commercial industry.
Must be willing to travel 50% across a multi-state territory - products are sanitizing agents and consumables sold dairy farms and dealers.
Bachelor's degree in chemical, agriculture, engineering or similar is preferred, but will consider candidates with experience instead of degree.
This is a base plus commission role (70/30) offering excellent benefits and vehicle allowance! Will relocate for the right candidate. Salary listed in the posting is base before commission.

Responsibilities
Maintain and grow a book of business
Drive sales within dealerships and farm customers
Assist the dealers with joint visits to the farms, with existing clients and making cold calls.
Provide training for customers and dealers and do regular presentations for support specialists
Serve as a product consultant for sanitizing agents, detergents, acids, and other consumable products
Leverage marketing intelligence to improve market penetration
Must be willing to travel 50% to customers in several states, including Idaho, Colorado, Washington, California and Utah; generous vehicle allowance and corporate card
Requirements
At least 3 years of outside sales experience in agriculture, dairy or similar commercial industry
Ability to serve as a consultant, representing the company with excellent communication skills and influence decisions
Ability to work well individually and manage time well to get results
Desire to further existing accounts as well as prospect for new business
B.S. in a technical field such as agriculture, chemistry or engineering preferred
Ability to travel 50%
