Social Media Strategist

Loot, Austin, Texas, us, 78716

Save Job

Loot

is an innovative fintech company in the US lending space. We’ve built a strong foundation through the broker channel and are now scaling our direct-to-consumer presence. We are looking for a senior-mid level strategist to define how we show up on organic channels.

The Role Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, you’ll own how Loot shows up across organic channels. We aren’t looking for a content manager—we need a

strategist

who can shape a brand voice that is credible, innovative, and high-trust without feeling like traditional finance. Nothing is off-limits in brainstorming. We want big ideas—then we’ll figure out how to make them real.

What You’ll Do

Strategy:

Own the organic roadmap for LinkedIn, Meta, and X—formats, narratives, and distribution.

Voice:

Develop a punchy, professional, and grounded brand voice that makes SMB finance feel human.

Execution:

Direct our in-house Content Creator so visuals, tone, and messaging stay aligned.

Outcomes:

Define what success looks like for organic and build repeatable formats that drive trust and inbound demand.

Scale:

Join as a founding member of the creative team with a path to full-time leadership.

Working Arrangement This role can be either

3 days per week

or

full-time , depending on the right candidate. We care more about the quality of thinking and impact than hours logged. We’re open to remote candidates in the US, with a preference for Austin-based applicants who can collaborate in person when needed.

Who You Are

You don’t wait for a task list—you see the gap and design the plan.

You can explain a complex financial product like a conversation, not a lecture.

You believe no idea is bad until it’s tested—and you’re willing to test boldly.

You understand that in finance, trust is everything; you know how to be creative without being reckless.

Bonus:

Experience in fintech, high-growth startups, or regulated industries where you made “boring” topics interesting.

If this sounds right for you, apply now with your portfolio and a brief cover letter that answers: What is a 'boring' brand that you think is actually doing something cool on social? What is the one thing they get right that everyone else misses?
