Role Description The Landscape Designer plays a dual role as an
Office Administrator , supporting daily administrative operations while contributing to landscape design projects. This position is ideal for a highly organized individual with strong communication skills and an interest in creative outdoor design. The role bridges office efficiency and design coordination, ensuring smooth business operations and well-supported landscape projects from concept through completion.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and administrative skills, abackground in design,excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities efficiently. They should also possess a creative eye, basic knowledge or interest in landscape design, and the ability to collaborate effectively with designers, clients, and contractors.
Responsibilities Office Administration
Manage daily office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and document control
Handle client inquiries, maintain customer records, and support client communication
Assist with invoicing, purchase orders, expense tracking, and basic bookkeeping
Coordinate meetings, prepare reports, and maintain digital and physical filing systems
Support management with administrative tasks and workflow coordination
Landscape Design Support
Assist in the preparation of landscape design proposals, presentations, and project documentation
Coordinate design schedules, site visits, and communication between designers, clients, and contractors
Help complete 3D drawings, renderings, and client presentations
Maintain design files, drawings, and project records
Provide input on design concepts, layouts, and material selections as appropriate to experience
Qualifications Required:
Proficiency in design software such as
AutoCAD ,
SketchUp , or similar tools
Strong ability to follow design direction and adapt to client needs
Basic knowledge of
Microsoft Office
applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proven experience in office administration or a similar role
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Background in
design ,
office administration , or related field
Preferred:
Experience with Lumion
rendering software
Familiarity with permitting processes and vendor coordination
Proficiency in
