Job Responsibilities
Build business relationships with current and potential clients
Collaborate with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short- and long-term business development plans
Provide lineup and assist with kickoffs with Project Managers
Track changes and customer caused issues & submit cost impacts to customer
Assist with technical knowledge, sales, estimating to existing customers as assigned
Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients; closing sales and working with the client through the closing process
Travel as required to support new business development at new and existing customers, trade shows, conferences, etc.
Estimate realistic, accurate, and achievable hour/material costs so a competitive quote can be provided to the customer.
Determine price and lead time to be used for the quotation.
Confer with other individuals in manufacturing, purchasing and engineering for any additional information needed to prepare the quotation.
May write work orders
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical technology or automation areas, or equivalent work experience
Experience with lead generation and prospect management
Above 5 years’ experience in sales function in equipment manufacturing
Must be willing to travel
Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close
Ability to bring established relationships in the industry is a plus
Strong analytic, organization, written and interpersonal communication skills
Must be self-directed
Must be able to deliver under pressure and meet project deadlines
Ability to work well in a team environment
Cost accounting experience is strongly preferred.
Lean Manufacturing techniques knowledge preferred.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and ability to learn other systems required
