Responsibilities Customer & Account Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned drayage and intermodal customers.
Schedule and manage appointments for container pickups, deliveries, and terminal returns.
Manage and grow customer relationships through consistent communication and service quality.
Identify opportunities to upsell or expand services within existing accounts.
Lead customer facing calls, reporting, and KPI reviews.
Assist in onboarding new commercial accounts.
Support revenue driving activity spot quoting, capacity planning, and service expansion.
Help shape processes and solutions for evolving customer needs.
Operational Leadership:
Track all drayage and intermodal shipments; proactively identify delays and communicate updates.
Resolve escalations, service failures, or accessorial issues quickly and professionally.
Ensure compliance with port/rail requirements (free time, demurrage, per diem, terminal cutoffs).
Prepare, manage, and store documentation such as delivery orders, BOLs, invoices, and customs releases.
Mentor and support Account Coordinators within your book of business.
Carrier & Vendor Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with drayage carriers, IMCs, and rail providers.
Book drayage and intermodal loads and coordinate with carriers, port trucking companies, and rail providers.
Negotiate rates when needed and secure reliable capacity.
Monitor carrier performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
3+ years in drayage, intermodal, or multimodal logistics management.
Strong command of TMS systems (e.g., Turvo, Highway, Microsoft Suite)
Demonstrated success in customer and carrier relationship management.
