
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading sales performance across a residential new-home market. This role manages and develops a team of sales professionals while driving execution against pricing, absorption, and revenue goals. The position blends hands‑on coaching with strategic oversight and works closely with operations and marketing partners to deliver consistent results.
Key Responsibilities
Recruit, onboard, and retain high‑performing new‑home sales consultants.
Coach and develop the sales team through regular feedback, training, and performance management.
Establish clear expectations, goals, and accountability across assigned communities.
Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with market demand, inventory levels, and pricing objectives.
Monitor traffic, pipeline activity, and close rates to ensure targets are met.
Adjust sales tactics based on performance trends, buyer feedback, and competitive conditions.
Ensure a consistent, professional buyer experience from initial engagement through contract and closing.
Support resolution of escalated customer issues in partnership with construction and customer care teams.
Uphold disciplined sales practices that protect brand reputation and customer satisfaction.
Analyze local market trends, competitor activity, and buyer behavior to inform sales decisions.
Track key performance metrics and provide insights to leadership.
Partner with marketing to improve lead quality, traffic generation, and campaign effectiveness.
Work closely with operations and construction teams to align sales commitments with delivery timelines.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in residential sales leadership, ideally within homebuilding or real estate.
Proven track record of leading teams and achieving sales goals.
Strong people leadership and coaching skills
Deep understanding of residential sales cycles
Data‑driven approach to pipeline management and forecasting
