Service Advisor
The Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service work in the service department and for selling additional needed service to customers. Essential Duties Greet customers in a timely, friendly and communicate to determine the nature of the mechanical problem. Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications, using maintenance menus. If additional work is needed, explain the details to the customers, including the additional cost and time consideration. Follow up progress of each repair order during the day. Contact customers by telephone regarding changes in the estimate or time promised. Record changes on repair order in approved fashion. Handle telephone inquiries regarding work in process & appointments and return phone calls promptly. Deliver vehicles to customers and answer any questions. Qualifications General knowledge of mechanical operations. Sales experience preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requirements Must be 21 years old or older Must pass a drug test Must pass a background screening High school diploma or the equivalent. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. ASE certification preferred. General mechanical skills. Valid Texas driver's license and a good driving record. Manual dexterity.
