Service Advisor
The Service Advisor is responsible for scheduling service work in the service department and for selling additional needed service to customers. Essential duties include: Greeting customers in a timely, friendly manner and communicating to determine the nature of the mechanical problem. Advising customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications, using maintenance menus. If additional work is needed, explaining the details to the customers, including the additional cost and time consideration. Following up on the progress of each repair order during the day. Contacting customers by telephone regarding changes in the estimate or time promised. Recording changes on repair order in an approved fashion. Handling telephone inquiries regarding work in process & appointments and returning phone calls promptly. Delivering vehicles to customers and answering any questions. Qualifications include: General knowledge of mechanical operations. Sales experience preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requirements include: Must have and maintain a valid Texas Driver's license with an acceptable and safe driving record. Must be 21 years old or older. Must pass a drug test screening.
