Position: Behavioral Health Program Director Location: DuPage Center
Compensation Average starting salary: $102,000 – $113,000 annually, based on skill and experience level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administers all aspects of a program or line of service, including development and implementation of new initiatives.
Develops and administers budget.
Identifies and pursues funding opportunities.
Monitors program to assure fiscal compliance of contracts, annual, and long‑range plans.
Supervises program and staff.
Responsible for all personnel matters within the program including hiring, assigning, and terminating staff. Identifies and fosters leadership potential of program staff.
Participates in collaboration with other agencies and institutions to advance program goals.
Responsible for training needs assessment, participating in planning for and may provide staff for training.
Maintains knowledge of developments and directions in program areas. May participate in local, state, and national activities in field.
Responsible for meeting affirmative action goals.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Certifications, Credentials and/or Experience
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
8+ years of increasingly responsible experience in administrative and/or management positions.
Travel Requirements Periodic travel to different centers for community meetings.
Additional Requirements Satisfactorily pass all relevant screening and criminal background checks.

Physical Requirements
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
